Essential Oils You Should Diffuse Right Now

Essential oils are one of the natural remedies I recommend most often. I incorporate several essential oils in my topical formulations –

Frankincense, for example, is an excellent pain reliever. It’s one of my favorite essential oils to recommend to patients who need natural pain relief. It’s currently used in many countries to relieve rheumatic conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis. In my clinical practice, I recommend it for muscle and joint pain.

I include frankincense oil and other essential oils in my topical creams for their natural anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-relieving) effects.

Here are some of my favorite essential oils that I diffuse regularly in my own home – you may recognize them as essential oils I include in my topical creams as well!

Bergamot Oil
This citrus scent is used as both a stress reliever and a mood booster. This oil may also help to improve your energy levels, leaving you less fatigued!

Frankincense Oil
Frankincense oil, gathered from the resin of the Boswellia tree, has a fragrance that is both woody and sweet. This oil has been shown to relieve symptoms of anxiety, stress, and depression.

Lavender Oil
This is probably the most well-known and widely-used oil for stress relief. Lavender oil can be used in a variety of ways to quickly and effectively calm the mind.

Eucalyptus Oil
Eucalyptus is a fantastic oil for opening up your air passageways, helping you to breathe more deeply. Whether you diffuse this oil or apply it topically (following correct dilution practices), this can help you to feel more physically and mentally calm.
