EPISODE 4:Lemon, Turmeric, and Chia Seed Smoothie
This lemon, tumeric, and chia seed smoothie is a fast and healthy meal that you can whip up in minutes! Lemon has high vitamin C content, which is beneficial in lowering cholesterol levels – and chia seeds and tumeric add essential protein, vitamins, and minerals.
Lemon, Turmeric, and Chia Seed Smoothie
- 3 frozen bananas
- 2 cups vanilla Greek yogurt
- ½ cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp honey
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tsp lemon zest
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
Chop your frozen banana into smaller pieces
Add them to your blender along with your Greek yogurt, honey, coconut milk, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth
Add your lemon juice, zest, and turmeric, and mix again.
Finally, add your chia seeds and pulse to incorporate.
Allow to chill in your fridge for at least five minutes so that the chia seeds can hydrate and thicken your smoothie.
Pour into two glasses, and enjoy!
